July 4, 2024 Vintage Baseball Team needed.
Allendale Township, Michigan, is celebrating their 175th Anniversary this year, 2024. We are looking for a vintage baseball team to play a game on July 4th at 1:30 or 2 or possibly July 3 in the evening at the Allendale Township Ball Field in the park at 6676 Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale (by the Allendale water tower).
We would give a donation to your team and provide a delicious lunch or dinner, possibly BBQ chicken grilled on the 4th,depending on the time.

Please post this on the VBBA. site for request - the Douglas Dutchers can't do this date nor would we have another Club to play against us. Too bad, as it is right next door to the University which I attended for my BA - Grand Valley State. University, and this Lady also graduated from there as well. Thanks. "Before European settlers arrived to what is now Allendale, it belonged to the Chippewa People. In the early 1800's, the first European settler to set foot in Allendale was Pierre Constant. He was a fur trader and explorer that worked for the British Fur Company. Pierre found his way to what is now Allendale by way of the Grand River from Lake Michigan. He traveled up the Grand River to Trader's Creek, where the Creek meets the River. Here he established a trading post to purchase furs from the Native Americans."

The inaugural Vintage Base Ball Association (VBBA) podcast is underway, presented by host, Dustyn Dubuque of the Menomonie Blue Caps (WI). Each episode he will chat with members of the VBBA and the vintage base ball community at large about all things 1860 or later, base ball!
For the first episode, Dustyn is joined by VBBA President, Gary Schiappacasse to discuss all things VBBA National Conference, March 15-17. VBBA Town Hall Facebook Group
This VBBA Town Hall group is designed to allow different vintage base ball (VBB) teams and players to learn about upcoming events throughout the nation.
